The other night I was shelling out seed beans and thinking about the Jack and the Beanstalk story. How all seeds are such pure magic. How of course you would trade almost anything for seed if you didn't have any... And, paradoxically, how plants are so prolific with them you can eat green beans all summer and still save enough for next year.
The world is a miracle and it breaks my heart.
