@RSPB went to a falconry display a few weeks ago and the falconer was saying how you really don't wanna mess with squirrels, they're not fluffy cute woodland critters (well, not just that) but they're solid muscle with claws that dig into bark and teeth that can crack nuts and they absolutely will ruin the day of a wayward bird of prey that mistakes them for an easy meal. also ruin the day of any falconer who steps in to disentangle the sparring duo
