@pluralistic Having been born in Kaiser's Sunset hospital in the 1950s and always been under Kaiser care, I well familiar with their "broken" system. It's better than it was back then, but there's a reason most of the gay men with advanced cases of AIDS called it KILLING YOU PERMANENTLY back in the 80s and 90s. Then they established a specialized hospital here in the SF Bay area where all the expertise and patients were treated. Their patient longevity when way up.
Having been through my own cancer stuff during the pandemic when most visits were video-only, I'm glad I stayed on top of it.
And about that "bad back". You definitely need to find a Rolfer who can deal with back stuff although you may have to venture from the Valley to L.A. proper to find someone. I deal with back stuff all the time, even in my own body. And you probably sit A LOT.
