I was just looking for an alternative to GetPocket recently, glad I didn't go with Omnivore.
It looked like the best, but it's hard to self-host, and you could tell they were burning money they didn't have by not making people pay for the hosting.
If you're looking to jump ship have a look at Shiori, Readeck and Wallabag.
If you're looking for convenient self-hosting, try PikaPods.
