@nsa @canard164 I know about the manual workaround, but that is part of my point. It doesn’t work out of the box, it doesn’t honor your settings by default.
The biggest problem was still all the other apps that doesn’t use the configured password manager at all. Some of them works trough the gboard, but then it is back to the Google one again.
I expected the situation to be worse on apple, as they don’t provide the accessibility workaround used on Android. However, instead it works smoothly in all apps, no hassle.
It is possible this is new in iOS 18, but that is my first version.
I went from Android since day 1, trough Pixel since 7, to Apple last Friday. And I will likely never go back. If you asked me Thursday, I would swear I never buy an iPhone in my life
