One of the frustrating things about the era of surveillance capitalism is that incompetence is a profit center.
"Oh, the stream failed to play after you watched two ads? Try reloading and watch two more ads. If that doesn't work, thy watching some different content and see if that plays after you watch two more ads."
The market doesn't offer companies good incentives to fix those sorts of bugs. Markets are so broken in modern capitalism.
