If your org uses an RPM based distribution like RHEL/CentOS or AlmaLinux for your servers and VMs,

then you will find administering and customising containers built on RPM based distributions like AlmaLinux more convenient.

This allows developers building on their local machines or cloud VMs to have exactly the same environment in their containers, making reproducible builds easier.
