On Monday, October 14, 2024, KKMX celebrated its 10th. Birthday. And back in late March, early April, when DJ Celrock was approached by DJ Georgie Girl about putting together a celebratory event to honor 10 years on the air, she jumped at the chance, to put something together. On Sunday, April 14, 2024, exactly 6 months ago to the date of its birthday, DJ Celrock put together 5 hours and 42 minutes of stories, clips from past archives, and songs she first heard on this station, as well as first played, on this station on her shows. Today, please tune into Server 2 starting at a special time of 4:00 PM Eastern, 3:00 PM Central, and going until 10:00 PM Eastern, 9:00 PM Central, as she presents the entirety, of her contribution, to What A Difference A Decade Makes, along with an intro and outtro to round out the 18 minutes to make it up to 6 hours in total. This event and its introduction and outro are, and will, all be prerecorded, so obviously no requests or live participation on the program will take place today, but DJ Celrock will be on the Mix's Teamtalk Server in the root channel during this presentation, should listeners wish to come up there, and listen along with her, as we celebrate, and reflect, on the past 10 years together.
