Thought for the day: 5km swimming is a serious distance. A half marathon, though it's never called that.
The difference between a half-marathon run and a swim is that >50% of the population could eventually complete the run, even if they walked it. And, I'm guessing, the mortality rate will be <1%. The mortality rate on the swim would probably be >95%
