this weekend at a wedding, i pointed at a dish of brilliant red raw tuna poke and exclaimed to my very-midwestern uncle, “i love fresh tomato! fresh tomato is great!”
he took some and downed the entire dish
i don’t think he’s ever had sushi, sashimi or anything of the sort, or i assume, based on his reaction
