Why do so many music fans dehumanize people who aren't into music like they are? I've never met a gardener saying, "gardening is a universal human experience, there's something wrong with you if you don't like it" but music fans say shit like this all the time.
I like listening to music now but I hated it when I was younger because 99% of it was sensory hell. Listening to music was like listening to car traffic to me, I hated it. It was just another form of noise pollution. This was one of many reasons I didn't "fit in" during middle school when so many kids' entire personalities revolved around their favorite bands. "What? You don't listen to music? That's so weird. What's wrong with you?"
Uh... autism, I guess...
