I don't understand how anyone can think that the current Node dependency roller coaster is remotely normal. If you have any reasonable number of dependencies (TypeScript, Rollup, ESLint, etc), you are broken at least every other week.
These tools are supposed to make us more productive? I think? So why am I spending a bunch of time reading some inscrutable error message and hunting for some glib comment buried in a CHANGELOG.md?
Lockfiles are the only thing keeping the whole house of cards up.
