@reinesis I feel you on this. I think Masto is where I landed and stuck because it fits me the most. I gave Bluesky a check, I post there once a month and get 2 and a half interactions if it's a good day. Threads I never bothered claiming my account.
Wouldn't say it's an age thing, maybe more of a personality thing? Because I see plenty of folks well in their 50s posting in full twitter-mode daily. I try to word it right, because I don't look down on it, but I've concluded for myself that generally I'm just not a social media person. I lurk and keep up with the handful of people I find interesting, mindlessly scroll instagram a bit. But apart from posting the occasional cat picture, random thought, and lengthy blog post that I wanna get out of my system I don't really get the urge to actively participate in whatever is going on much.
