The goals of this research are 1) to identify a network of Wikimedia-engaged academics and 2) understand how certain impact metrics related to Wikimedia contributions can be collected and visualized for alternate audiences (academic committees and institutions and grant funders) in order to help academics receive credit and recognition for their contributions to open knowledge via Wikimedia.
