Adam Something's newest video on social media proposes that, in order for people to be able to post on social media, they must provide their government IDs to the platform to verify that they are not bots.
This is fucking insane. That kind of system not only puts queer people and political dissenters calling out oppressive authorities and policies in significant danger from the public, their governments, and their families, but also poses a massive privacy/security risk when one of these platforms inevitably gets their shit leaked. How he figured this would be a good idea to post is beyond me.
