@mcc As you are a Canadian Resident and I find myself in Toronto, I ask:
Is tipping the same here?
The question is really twofold, bc simple googling suggests that Canadians do generally tip in restaurants, and obvs I’ll follow suit.
The secondary question I’ve had less luck with is “are Canadian servers paid less than minimum wage as in the US?”
