I'm explicitly mentioning this now because I've seen a number of these over the years, and some folks have donated to the instance expecting that will ensure they get an invite.
I'm sorry that wasn't clear before, but that's not what the intention of the donations are! And the reason why we have the invite-only system we do is to make sure people both vibe well with folks here and fully understand the rules. This will help us admin and maintain our digital space.
