I am listening to a podcast recorded in 2017 about the film version of Orwell’s “1984” released IN 1984, and the hosts are just stunned by how much of that narrative seems prescient in light of the first Trump presidency, and all I can think is “you people in 2017 have NO IDEA how much more prescient it’s going to seem come 2025.”
