ftp.ncei.noaa.gov is closing connections over FTP. The port seems to be open, it's just closing things upon connection.

Their website says that they're going offline for maintenance on Feb 4th, but doesn't say anything about taking stuff down due to executive orders or whatever.

I don't know if it was just getting hammered too hard, or if anyone was told to turn it off.

I think by this point people have archived it, but it's still a little telling.
