How exposed is the #InternetArchive to government attack in the US? How much is backed up elsewhere?
Is it still best to contribute financially to archive.org? Or are there other bodies outside the US that need funds to back it up and that may be lower risk?
I could just give to the #BiodiversityHeritageLibrary which is the resource I use most, but that is at the Smithsonian and federal and hence perhaps at more risk than IA.
Suggestions?

They're San Francisco based, so they at least have some protection from being based in a blue state, and their primary data centers are in the bay area. But they have backups in the Netherlands and in Egypt.
At one point, the Egyptian backup was a full mirror. I don't know if it still is. I think donating to them directly is probably best, they'll redirect it if it can be more useful elsewhere.
