Now that Manitoba has jumped on the bandwagon removing USican liquor from MLCC shelves it’s going to be interesting to see what beer they stock. Labatts is owned by Anheuser-Busch, Molsons was bought out by Coors, and so on. I know the Yanks have maintained a Canadian corporate entity but at the top of the pile it’s US.
I looked at the label on a Great Value (Walmart brand) orange juice tonight, it say blended and packaged in Canada but we know damn well the orange crop here is … limited!

@graand It'll probably be Canadian-made only. Canadian-owned would disqualify like... 90% of everything we buy. [number entirely made up.]

FWIW La Presse is recommending Boréale, Belle Gueule, and Saint-Ambroise. I don't know which of those make it out to Manitoba.

@tlariv There are a number of local Manitoba breweries that are going to see an uptick in business! Maybe a bit pricier but better brews. 🍺

Moosehead (Moosehead, Alpine, James Ready labels) is still Canadian. I think the last of the larger brewers.
