Now that Manitoba has jumped on the bandwagon removing USican liquor from MLCC shelves it’s going to be interesting to see what beer they stock. Labatts is owned by Anheuser-Busch, Molsons was bought out by Coors, and so on. I know the Yanks have maintained a Canadian corporate entity but at the top of the pile it’s US.

I looked at the label on a Great Value (Walmart brand) orange juice tonight, it say blended and packaged in Canada but we know damn well the orange crop here is … limited!

Being Metis in the US is not recognised as it is in Manitoba or other parts of Canada. In the US people of mixed background are considered Native Americans.

In the last two weeks such Native Americans have been advised to not leave home without their passports and any other identification. The irony in all of this, if they are suspected of not being ‘American” they are subject to being sent back to where they came from.

Please, think about this for just a minute.

Class act in Montreal tonight. Marc-Andre Fleury’s last game in town as a member of the opposing team, and he gets a hero’s (deserved!) welcome. And the Habs cooperate by not scoring and giving him a farewell shutout!

I had an off night as well. Got busy doing my credit card reconciliations n other such nonsense and was late for the game start. Got the game on, and then neglected to light the fireplace. Meant to have a late snack of apple pie n ice cream, but forgot. So I can’t be too hard on the #NHLjets tonight. It’s been a crap day on a few fronts…

I’m going chalk this one up as an off night across the board for the #NHLjets. Utah has played well, the Jets just are just not all there. Even Helley looks kinda ordinary.

Having said that there’s still 10 minutes left, the Jets are on the board and I’m comfy. Gonna see this one through.

A question for #cdnpoli wonks: If (and that’s a big IF) Mark Carney becomes the Liberal party leader, then what? He does not have a seat in Parliament. A by-election somewhere in a safe riding? Who fills the role of Prime Minister in the interim? Or can an unelected person serve as PM?!?

Just got in, half a period left. Looks the #NHLjets are playing a better game. Up by 2, some shots on the board and the minute or so I’ve seen some really positive play!

Maybe the last coupla games were MY fault. 🤷🏼‍♂️
