It’s happening! We’re in OKC this morning to attempt an IRL avgeek challenge: catch each type of Boeing airliner, 707 through 787, in motion, in 24 hours. A #BoeingYahtzee.
Plan: E-3/E-6 (707) at Tinker this PM, remainder in the Metroplex tomorrow.

We’ll post updates in this thread as the day progresses; today’s plan is seeing an E-3 Sentry (AWACS) or E-6 Mercury as late in the day as possible here at Tinker AFB, near Oklahoma City, which is when we’ll start the 24 hour clock and head south to Dallas / Ft. Worth.

SABRE 03 and 52, are both cleared on the radio - E-3 Sentry and B-52 Stratofortress - fingers are crossed tightly. 🤞

Alright, with the documented arrival of an E-3 Sentry at 5:10 PM CST at Tinker AFB, our 24 #BoeingYahtzee timer begins. Heading down to Dallas now.

It was a short night, but we’re up and running at DFW now; caught a UPS 757 and Cathay Pacific 747 in beautiful early light; heading to DAL soon to see the 727.

717 and 737 have now been documented at DAL; looks like I may have shown up here on first day there aren’t any special liveries coming here? 🤷♂️
Anyway, the 727 is in sight; filed departure is less than an hour away.
The 767, 777, and 787 remain; should be doable this afternoon at DFW.

We’ve been very lucky with nice weather; it’s a beautiful morning here in Dallas. Light should be right down the nose for the 727 departure, which is not ideal for photography, but it allows us to be lazy and camp on the parking ramp between both runways.

With a 727 documented at DAL, and after a brief, unplanned side trip to AFW for a 767, we’ve made it back to DFW, where we need to catch a 777 and 787 to complete the #BoeingYahtzee.

… and we’ve completed the challenge successfully!
Will do a full write-up with photos tomorrow; appreciate all of the support from everyone, here and on the ground in Oklahoma and Texas!

Team Airbus, while not the focus of the trip, also put on a fine show at DFW last night.
