Do people find “month in review” posts interesting? I’ve thought about doing them myself, but very rarely read them so haven’t bothered.
Although when I do read them, they’re usually quite interesting…

@kev 100% yes. It's cathartic and who knows what people might find interesting. I've been roughly doing the same with my homelab posts.

@kev I used to but it is a lot of work and preparation depending how many topics to be covered.

@kev I don't tend to read them. It may be worth doing one if something exciting happens in your life and you want to document it. Otherwise, they can be boring.

@kev they are as good as (1) the author's compatibility with my interests, and (2) the particular month they're summarising. Other than that, no rules really.

@kev I like a quarterly cadence, where all the little things that aren’t enough to be their own post, but still interesting, get consolidated.
But I also might just be conditioned to like quarterly releases…

@kev "Month in review" posts are usually not for the benefit of others, but for oneself. And in that capacity, I have found them very worthwhile. They offer a chance at structured reflection.
