I'm still looking for a new laptop and I'm erring towards an M3 MacBook Air. For the price it's a pretty nice deal considering my alternatives are £700 more. It means moving away from Arch though 🥺

I'd love another Carbon X1 but over 2k is insane compared to an air.

@mikebell will you try installing Asahi on your Mac or move to using macos?

@mikebell never thought I'd say this, but the Air is great value for money. I have the M1 and 3.5 years later, it's still going great. I'll probably upgrade to the M5 Air, I think. But we'll see.

@kev @mikebell Agree. It’s a lot of laptop for the price. Really happy with mine, and I’ve only got the base model.

@jamie @mikebell same. It had been great for me. Although you seem to get 16gb RAM and half a TB SSD on the base model now which is good. Not that I’ve had any issues with 8GB RAM.
