Dialectical thought is the ability to hold opposing truths simultaneously.

How does this stop Nazis?

When you easily process that existence of one thing does not oppose existence of another you stop needing to think in black & white terms for sanity.

After that propoganda is less effective.

@DrSafariBoob My brain works in multilecticals like quantum effects and schroedinger's kittens 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛- many seemingly opposing facts can coexist - it is often less about the supposed facts themselves and more about how they each impact our understanding. It is not easy and not the norm but it does help me understand why when presented with a vastly different idea, those with under-developed worldviews may become scared and angry and confused.

@DrSafariBoob My brain wasn't born this way. It grew this way after adopting a regular mindfulness practice, I believe. This is one reason why I am a firm believer in how much better a place the world could be if we could expose everyone to mindfulness meditation as early in life as is beneficial. Making such a practice taught gently as early as kindergarten and refreshed in later years would provide all people with access to mental and emotional tools to not only cope with life but it would have the potential to completely revolutionise the entirety of humanity.
