Dialectical thought is the ability to hold opposing truths simultaneously.
How does this stop Nazis?
When you easily process that existence of one thing does not oppose existence of another you stop needing to think in black & white terms for sanity.
After that propoganda is less effective.

I had a really bad meltdown the weekend before last and cut my hair off (yes, just like Britney).
Today I went to the hairdresser to fix it and now I have a shiny new punk mohawk, perfect for punching Nazis in the throat.

In the medical world there is a saying: "horses before zebras".
Basically it means: diagnose the common thing before you start looking for exotic explanations.
Have you ever been completely confused by the diagnosis Borderline Personality Disorder? None of the symptoms seem to relate to one another easily and though this diagnosis exists, the management (read: the only reason to diagnose anything in the first place) is slow, painful, inaccessible. Almost like there isn't a strong understanding from healthcare providers because there isn't a strong foundation in the science they are taught behind the cause of "BPD". (Yet is that a function of an inability to study BPD or more likely a sinister goal of fascism?...)
From my perspective BPD is a zebra.
Autism is the horse.

My anti-nazi thread went viral on threads! It makes me realise how much I dislike going viral. I don't want celebrity I want community. Definitely a few very aggressive responses but overall a lot of compassion and thought. Isn't that hopeful!
I keep thinking about what I need other to know about BPD...
BPD has nothing to do with who you are! I've started thinking of it like a literal sheet of experiences and symptoms that lays over the top of people, turning them into angry ghosts.
These people are in every walk of life, having extreme emotional responses that people aren't recognising as brain pathology. Individuals diagnosed get VERY defensive of the diagnosis and identify with it, not realising the vast amount of life experiences that could create this very same pathology in an entirely different way for another person doesn't invalidate their own experiences.
I hate being cheesy but the answer is love and inclusion. I firmly believe these are inherently human qualities as well, resistance or fear of connection is a function of pathologised capitalism.

I am very passionately anti-Nazi.
Why? Aside from the very very obvious, my Nanna was born in Berlin in 1926.
Educated people will know that meant she was a Nazi.
She didn't get to grow up being taught about the world, about what human values are and the importance of human connection. That meant she was bathed in propaganda and turned into a Nazi.
She left Germany in the 50's, came to Australia with her Polish husband and started her family. But the atrocity did not stay in the past, she carried it her mind.
My family is sick. None of them identify as Nazis. I'm the black sheep, the cycle breaker, the truth seeker. It's lead me to understanding my mental illness inside out.
It's lead me to clearly seeing cults are run by narcissists but populated by borderlines.
Borderlines are confusing to most but being one helps me understand it. The moment we all must start looking for are the opportunities to "split" the leader.
Splitting is a borderline term, it's being able to go from utter worship and admiration of a person to thinking they are lower than the devil. It's a function of emotional dysregulation and is a mental safeguard against psychosis.
We need to get them to split Trump.
Trump is their leader because he soothes their abandonment wounds and he validates their dysregulated fear, anger, rage. If you want them to split Trump you need to show how his actions directly hurt them and how you will protect them from that hurt. You need to get them to recognise their fear of Trump abandoning them.
Don't be combative. It will not work. Splitting is about two halves of an argument, make the choice to be on their side no matter what. Walk into the delusion so you can take their hand and walk them out.
This is a time for genuine care and zero expectation of them being able to support you during this interaction. They are so sick, they cannot do anything you might consider an "easy" choice.
This sickness has a symptom called maladaptive behaviour. That means they will actively make choices that make their situation worse. Be compassionate about this, be on their side. You are breaking cult ties, to these people this week literally feel like their world is ending. That's a really scary feeling and they need comfort through it.
The people that split Trump and don't have support will go insane. These are the people that will shoot up places and then themselves. No, not every borderline does this, I'm saying borderline personality disorder is the foundation of this. All people with BPD NEED external support to recover. They cannot do it alone, it's why the cult has them gripped so tight.
This is all about uncomfortable emotions. Shame, envy, rage, grief. These are the things these people cannot process.

The poem "First They Came" is attributed to the German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller, who spoke out against the Nazi regime after initially supporting it. The wording varies in different versions, but the most well-known version is:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
The poem reflects Niemöller's remorse for his inaction and is a powerful reminder of the dangers of staying silent in the face of oppression.
