Pretty soon our Federal government agencies are going to lose their institutional memory - the knowledge and skills of the employees.

In other words Musk is breaking the Humpty Dumpty egg of skills that make our Federal agencies work.

And when the era of FFOTUS is over not all the king's horses nor all the kings men will be able to put our government back together again.

States will have to take over - some states, like California, will be well suited to protect their residents. But a lot of other states will simply erode into third world status.

@karlauerbach Exactly. Without a doubt here in California is the best place to be now. I've always known it, but this is the ultimate proof.

@phil_stevens I wonder what Louisiana (and the extended area that barges/ships thing on the Mississippi) will do when the Feds stop maintaining the Old River Control Structure?

@karlauerbach We very nearly found out a few years back. The river has wanted to move into the Atchafalaya channel for decades. Sooner or later....
