Summer finally got her walk.

She doesn't really walk but manages a constant run, stop, and circle back to help me along.

We walked all the way to the beach.

She really is a happy dog.

@NorcalGma2

Every time you post pictures of Summer having fun on the beach, it reminds me of being a kid playing on the beach in Fort Bragg. Thank you for these reminders of a fun childhood.

I worked for the company that owned the department store there from 1985 to 1995. I visited the store every two weeks. About half the time we flew in but the other half we drove. It is a brutal drive, from here to there, that often. I loved the scenery, fabulous food and nice people.

It was the old Seafarer store turned into a family owned department store. It was a beautiful building.

Back when I was a kid, they had this cool system where the clerk for a particular area would write up the sales ticket and put that in this gizmo along with the money, then slingshot it up to the front of the store second floor. It was really fascinating for this little kid.

Our Eureka store had a tube system, before my time. If the Fort Bragg store had tubes they were probably phased out before we moved into the building.
