When you try the annual thing of threatening to cancel your internet service so they offer a better deal but instead this time they're just like "okay bet" and now I don't have internet for a few days

@christianselig @aroom Maybe, I’m from Central Europe and here, America is for the three mentioned countries, because Canada is in the Americas after all. A bit of a cultural disconnect.

@davidbures @christianselig @aroom well, as a fellow central European I‘d say: „America“ can either refer to North America or North+South America, while „American“ would only ever be used to refer to someone from the US 🙃

@myell0w @davidbures @aroom I guess you might be technically correct but practically speaking I have never heard of anyone ever say “America” and that be inclusive of Canada or South America, nor do I think any person from either part would think of it like that haha
