The latest version of my line-break function can handle 98% of the line breaks automatically. That's the good news. The bad news is that, for a longer work, there's still a lot of user input required. For example, on the novel McTeague (100K+ words, 11,360 lines), the program will still need help with 244 of those lines.
By 'help', I mean telling the program where it should hyphenate a word when breaking a line. Do I have some kind of syllabary library? No, not yet.
