Am I wrong to tell my 9yo son that the YouTubers he’s watching who are “reviewing” the candy bar sold by another YouTuber are being paid to do so? In one way or another, they are being paid. And the YouTuber who is making the candy bar is selling you the candy bar. You’re watching a commercial. You’re watching an ad. And it works, because you just told me how much you want to try that youtuber’s candy bar.
My wife says that when I point that out to him, it bursts his bubble and “kills his soul”.

@GenuinelyCurious
You are not wrong, not killing his soul, and I'm a bit concerned about him, honestly, because if being told the truth bursts his bubble, his bubble is full of lies.
