Am I wrong to tell my 9yo son that the YouTubers he’s watching who are “reviewing” the candy bar sold by another YouTuber are being paid to do so? In one way or another, they are being paid. And the YouTuber who is making the candy bar is selling you the candy bar. You’re watching a commercial. You’re watching an ad. And it works, because you just told me how much you want to try that youtuber’s candy bar.

My wife says that when I point that out to him, it bursts his bubble and “kills his soul”.

Is it "Thelonious" or "Thelmoious"?

I can't find any good articles discussing the reasons for the differences in the spelling of Monk's first name/stage name. His wiki page says his birth name is "Thelious Monk Jr."

Surely someone has written about this, right?

EDIT: I forgot I was using a Firefox extension that swaps “Elon” to “Elmo” and I guess it was doing it within words too. LOL

I mainly started this account to be able to speak my mind anonymously. I'm not looking to ruffle feathers or anger anyone. I'm not looking to make trouble. I just want a place where I can speak my mind, openly and honestly, and have conversations about the serious issues in my life and in the world.
