Something tells me this might end up on the news somewhere (they were going south to Toulouse)

OMG THEY FAILED THE LANDING

seems increasingly likely that they are either running tests or delivering an empty plane to a depot somewhere

@SharpLimefox it doesn't show on blagnac arrival boards at least

@fen so flightradar was probably drunk when it told me it was going to Toulouse (though that looked coherent with the first leg of the trip)

@SharpLimefox it doesn't show on liège airport arrival board either, so idk

@fen there's some evidence pointing to the fact that all of this was normal, namely their squawk was never in the 7000s, meaning they had no emergency on board

@SharpLimefox no yeah absolutely, it's just puzzling why FR24 listed the destination as being TLS when for example flightaware listed no destination (and fwiw the previous flight was brussels - shannon)

@fen the other puzzling part is that they did have a trajectory that was coherent with going to TLS, up until they turned right abruptly towards Gijón, then back and going all the way to Jersey, then spinning for about 40 minutes north of Rennes, then going all the way to Liège

@SharpLimefox fuel burning maybe? oh, or maybe it was originally scheduled for liège, then the belgian ATC outage happened and it got re-scheduled to toulouse, and midway through the flight the ATC issue resolved and it resumed its initial plan of going to liège

@fen what do you mean Belgian ATC outage

@fen ah that might be it yeah
still doesn't account for the detour over the Atlantic but otherwise yeah that makes sense
