Interestingly the V model (like Royce' waterfall model) was never meant this way. actually time should point in the otter direction at least for the lower part of the V if not all of it. plus iterations.

Together with Clive we tried to teach the ISO safety guidelines people that the SESE (single-entry-single-exit) principle is inherently fulfilled by structured languages call-return mechanism. I hope updated 61508 etc will abandon "single return" like we did with Misra
