My #Tamron 28-300 #Nikon F connector lens doesn't autofocus anymore. Unfortunately similar travel zoom lenses are no longer sold. everybody is going mirrorless only.

Suggestions? Could it be repaired?

Ich habe mein Tagesanzeiger Abo fristlos gekündigt (ohne Erstattung) weil die Kommentarlos ein Gauland Interview veröffentlicht haben. Leider kann ich ARD und ZDF nicht kündigen. Wo gibt es noch verlässliche Medien, die den Faschisten und Populisten nicht den Hof machen?

Anruf beim Wahlamt. Als Auslandsdeutsche sind wir im Wählerverzeichnis. Briefwahlunterlagen können aber erst ab dem 10.02. versendet werden. Das wird knapp. Für alle die auf Briefwahl angewiesen sind und vor allem für die mit langem Postweg. Was passiert eigentlich mit Stimmen, die zwar rechtzeitig abgesendet wurden aber erst zu spät eintreffen?

Nothing I post is meant to discredit or attack someone personally (except nazis). I understand that everybody's experiences and viewpoints are unique. I like to state mine, but I also like to be convinced otherwise. the latter means learning.

Anybody else experiencing mail.app problems on #iOS 18.1.1. disabling Push seems to help for the moment. but my wife missed important mails due to mail.app being suck and not loading messages.

Had my first #skiing accident for this season: 5 meters out of the front door on the way to the gondola: fell on my back, elbow and head due to losing grip with the skiing boots on plain ice that i didn't recognize as such. fortunately I wore my protective gear already. otherwise there skiing might have been over fir the next weeks at least. helmet and back protector are great things!

I wonder how the C++ sender/receiver concurrent computation model compares to Hoare's CSP (communicating sequential processes) or its incarnation OCCAM.

Is there a channel abstraction or are connections implicit by combination?
