@milan @shiftphones Ich hatte vor Urzeiten mal ein Shiftphone. Das war nach kürzester Zeit vollkommen veraltet und bekam keine Updates mehr. Ich hatte mich da sehr lange sehr kulant gezeigt, aber doch immer wieder in Forum und auch per Mail darauf hingewiesen, wie gefährlich und anti-nachhaltig das ist.
Anstatt mich ernst zu nehmen wurde ich als ungeduldig, unhöflich, zu fordernd stigmatisiert. Nach JAHREN der fehlenden Updates.
Zu Fairphone zu wechseln war offenbar richtig, wenn ich das lese

Abverkauf halt man ist 2 Generationen weiter :)
Mit einem MT6797X Helio X27 ist es deutlich schwerer Updates zu machen als mit frischeren Qualcomm Modellen.

@milan auch wenn es dort keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr gibt, konnte unsere Entwicklung die Sicherheitspatches von neueren Androidversionen nehmen und diese "backporten".

Jedenfalls nichts, was mit Passwörtern zu tun hat. Nur so als Hinweis, falls jemensch Interesse hat.
Und am besten gar keine Verbindung ins Internet..
Nachtrag: mein Xiaomi, das ich vor 5 1/2 Jahren gekauft habe, hat seine letzte Aktualisierung im Juli 2021 bekommen und hat Android 10 ...

Android 8 ist wirklich nicht mehr nutzbar; dafür würde ich keinen Cent mehr ausgeben. Hab hier irgendwo sogar noch ein uraltes SHIFT5me rumliegen, das ich ganz vergessen hab. Kann davon nur abraten...

@spaetzle @shiftphones naja, ich denk Shift hats auch gelernt dass MediaTek ne ganz blöde Idee ist, wenn man updatefähige Geräte verkaufen will. MediaTek veröffentlicht keine Kernelupdates (...) somit gibts für das Shift5me auch keine Androidupdates. Das Teil könnte man nur als MP3-Player o.ä. verwenden x.x
