@jrefior I had four uncles and a cousin who killed a lot of Nazis. In Italy, France, and Germany. They also liberated a satellite camp of Dachau. "Human skeletons walking. What kind of pilau (vile) people would do this?" One uncle also beat up a racist KKK bus driver in Hattiesburg, MS who was throwing him off the bus for not obeying Jim Crow while they were there in 442nd RCT for basic training. Bus driver didn't realize a little guy grew up learning judo.

They were heroes. They were the Greatest Generation, and they were Nazi killers.

@jrefior it’s sort-of true? Probably worth remembering that we waited to get involved with the war until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Henry Ford inspired Hitler and we denied Jewish people asylum. I’m hoping others here can provide some inspiration from that time because people have always fought such evil, but nothing comes to mind for me
