Mastodon & most others are essentially birdsite clones. Are there any platforms using ActivityPub with a similar framework style to Facebook walls with emphasis on communication with friends, rather than microblogging to the ether? For example, threaded posts & notifications when friends post? I already know that there is Pleroma/Akkoma, & Friendica. These just haven't satisfied me. Are there any others that might be better in development?

@ercanbrack It might be easier to make recommendations if it was more clear what you're looking for; unfortunately, I haven't used Facebook's 'Wall' feature much.
Maybe this won't help you at all, but, to be clear, you can receive notifications when your friends post, on Mastodon, by clicking the 'Bell' icon on their profile page. Also, if you @ somebody in a message on Mastodon, it'll notify them (similar to posting on their wall?).

@ercanbrack Addendum: to receive push notifications on your phone for when Bell'd accounts post, you'll currently need a Mastodon client like Moshidon. Either way, the notifications will show up in Mastodon's notifications feed.
But yeah, my apologies for not understanding much what Facebook's Wall is and how it significantly differs from this indeed very Twitter-like UI. Good luck and feel free to hit me up! Nice to meet you.
