I just finished chapter 2 of Sayaka Murata's book "Earthlings". Uhm. What the hell? 🙃

I need to catch my breath before I continue. This is the most disturbing thing I've read in a while. Can't believe they put such a cute cover on this.

@mollymay5000 I don't know what the rest of the book is going to bring me, but so far the horror is mostly 'life is bleak, society is sad, family units are tragic, adults do horrible things to kids and each other and the consequences will be nightmarish' kind of thing. 😅
