Was watching a news report¹ on Comdex '96, and I've realised just how much my expectations around tech have lowered.

I know everyone supposedly remembers the technology of their 20s as the best technology, but it really feels like 90s tech was filled with so much promise, and the 90s web was so vibrant, and the 90s played synthwave unironically at tech events, and all of that is rad AF.

@joncruz : Dental floss to cut through the adhesive after heating. We'll see how it goes.

Thing is, there's no compelling reason for this laptop to have a glued battery at all, given the battery is already held in place with screws.
