Sadly, Gwynne Shotwell is pretty good at her job, all things considered, and Elon has been content to leave her alone for the most part, so long as he gets all the profits and credit. It's why SpaceX is reasonable successful despite Elon, not because of him.

@rob11563 With him not being an inventor, I've never viewed him as having had much creative input into the cars, nor rockets. However, as his profile has risen, he's become, for many, this devisive, unpleasant figurehead that surely makes many potential purchasers doubt the (physical) integrity of the company's offerings.
