Is it just me, or does it feel like the bigger players of the internet... acting like #ActivityPub doesn't exist... because I keep seeing more people saying we need to build a decentralized social media by #Mozilla and other big names... and acting like #atProto is the only option...

Yeah it's really annoying when I was first looking into blue sky before it went public I was reading their description on how they described atProto and it was just really annoying it was describing it as this new cool thing when it's been a thing for years.....

@digitalfox @hack13 @LateNightLinux and they hit on the "problem" in the episode: money. It's all about money. Mozilla & the people around Bluesky/AT can't conceive of a web that isn't backed by VC money and fueled by user data collection to build models to sell ads. And the Fediverse has so far resisted all that.
