Sometimes I can’t decide between digital and analog tools. A part of me hates paper clutter, but another part missed having drawings and sketches on the wall, a sketchbook full of drawings, and the feeling of paper beneath my fingers. There’s something sensory and physical about analog note taking and sketching that is just lost in the digital; the permanence and presence of a stroke, the way ideas become tangible when written on paper, or real when modeled using physical materials. Yet I feel at the same time liberated when I use digital materials, ideas don’t take up space, I can sketch without creating waste, modify and iterate without running out of material.
