Coneflowers (Echinacea)
Don't clean your garden and cut all your flowers in Fall. Birds feed on them, pollinators hide in them, and they remain good subjects for the desperate photographer.

I have coneflowers and sunflowers in the prairie. They attract clouds of sparrows and finches. It's fun to see the evidence of their satisfaction in the snow.

I see a lot of finches in them too. In winter, I see juncos mostly. I was watching one under my window hanging down from a coneflower just a couple of minutes ago :)
