I noticed #WhatsApp, despite having everything to be a PWA, blocks phones from the web messenger page (you can do "desktop mode" on your phone browser to workaround this). It doesn't load the page, just displays a notice to use the app or a desktop browser. Logging in via desktop browser requires the app for dual authentication -- not texts or calls.
Meta is actively against users using WhatsApp as a PWA on their phones. Ugh.

Ironically, Instagram's at least works. Features are minimal. If you're a lurker, it's perfect. But it would be a step down for any creators

@Nael yeah I wish I could use it that way, but you can't upload reels or do 90% of the features for stories (which is all I do now unfortunately)

@smagnusson yes, I can only watch reels , no sharing or anything else.
