Wait, when people talk about "tank controls" in games, they actually mean... using left and right to turn around?
Why on earth call would you call this "tank controls" when it is like the one defining thing tank controls DON'T do?

This is bothering me a lot because tanks have a WEIRD control scheme, and that is what makes them interesting. And then some absolute bozo decides to use "tank controls" to describe the boring, plain version.

I had a Tyco r/c hovercraft in the 90s that had the left side and right side reverse/forward controls. It was neat. I think it may be in a box around here somewhere though the rubber is completely shot.

@WAHa_06x36 But it is how tanks have long been controlled in arcade games. I’m sure there’s all sorts of fun simulations of real tank controls in videogames, but I think the naming convention problem is probably Atari’s fault on what gamers think tank controls are like, from 70s classics such as Tank and Combat
