Every once in a while, it occurs to me that when I was seven years old it was perfectly acceptable, and even expected, to walk up to a stranger in public and ask "Wanna be friends?"

If I did that now, I'd get pepper sprayed.

@deadtom but back then it was also expected and drilled into you to never get in a car with a random stranger.

Do that now and you'll walk everywhere.
