It's slightly faster than the 1TB module I replaced (just over 3 GB/sec sequential, between 30-60 MB/sec 4K random).

I will probably pass the old one to my Dad who has base 256 GB, so he can have 1 TB and I'll hold onto the 256 GB as spare/backup in case anything happens.

Always an option to use a suitable USB enclosure for portable storage. Reuse an otherwise unneeded SSD for something useful 🙂
