@hj Random question if you don't mind:
With Pleroma, is there an easy solution to the problem that I don't see replies to posts from people who aren't in my known network?
I'd prefer that when I open a post, my instance fetches all replies to it, including replies from people I've never interacted with before.
If there's no simple answer then feel free to ignore. :blobcat-googly-thumbsup:

@taylan i'm not sure, maybe @lanodan or @lain knows better.

@hj @taylan @lain When a post is discovered and there's a replies collection attached, it should fetch them all, so when your instance discovers slightly old posts there should be a bunch of replies from otherwise unknowns.
Maybe staff (admins/mods) could have a button to fetch replies again (probably with a cooldown period).
But I feel like it would need to have something like Power Users so on big instances people don't pester staff for things like fetching replies.

@lanodan @lain @hj
So is the problem that the replies collection is stored as part of the post, initially empty of course, and then not updated again? (Except if a reply reaches my server for some other reason, like me following the replying account.)

@taylan @lain @lanodan it should be noted that fetching posts takes quite some time and can fail/timeout
